About Houston Cecilia

Houston Cecilia Chamber Choir is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization comprised of 24–27 dedicated choristers and guided by a Board of Directors, along with scholarship and volunteer committees. Over the years, Houston Cecilia has evolved into an organization known for artistic excellence, delighting audiences through high-quality performances and thoughtfully curated concert seasons.

Under the leadership of Artistic Director Gonzalo Ramos, Houston Cecilia continues to challenge and inspire its singers through creative and diverse repertoire that has broadened and deepened audience engagement. The ensemble remains at the forefront of Houston’s music community, showcasing innovative programming and a strong commitment to community involvement.

Houston Cecilia has been invited to perform at private events and had the honor of participating in the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience in Houston in 2018 and 2019. In addition, the choir performs in a wide variety of venues throughout the Greater Houston area, reaching audiences beyond traditional concert halls.

Houston Cecilia welcomes singers and volunteers who wish to share their time and talents through committee service or board membership. The organization also proudly supports local Houston composers by premiering new and invigorating choral works of the 21st century.
