Our Mission
Our mission is to provide excellence in chamber choral performance that will engage, entertain, and strengthen Houston communities through collaboration and educational outreach. HCCC will expand its involvement in the local Houston community by providing concerts that are affordable, multicultural and communicative of the highest shared values in our community.

About Houston Cecilia
Houston Cecilia Chamber Choir is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization comprised of 24–27 dedicated choristers and supported by an active Board of Directors, along with scholarship and volunteer committees. Over the years, the ensemble has grown into a vibrant organization recognized for artistic excellence, engaging audiences through high-quality performances and thoughtfully curated concert seasons.
Under the leadership of Artistic Director Gonzalo Ramos, Houston Cecilia advances its mission by presenting innovative choral programming that challenges singers while expanding access to meaningful musical experiences for diverse audiences. The ensemble’s repertoire spans centuries and styles, fostering both artistic growth within the choir and deeper cultural and emotional connection with the community it serves.
Houston Cecilia has been invited to perform at a variety of private events and was honored to participate in the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience in Houston in 2018 and 2019. The choir also performs in a wide range of venues across the Greater Houston area, reaching audiences well beyond traditional concert settings.
Get Involved
Houston Cecilia welcomes singers and volunteers who wish to share their time and talents through committee service or board membership. The organization also proudly supports local Houston composers by premiering new and invigorating choral works of the 21st century.
